Anyway, please enjoy. I’m quite excited to say I have just ordered a new Uke as a birthday present, so pretty soon the sound quality of the ukulele won’t be as terrible – however sadly, it will not improve my playing.

What is attachment parenting I hear you cry? Well, you could also refer to it as natural parenting,(for me personally, that’s how I’d define myself). The sorts of things natural/attachment parents may do are:

• Breastfeeding
• Co-Sleeping
• EC
• Babywearing
• Baby Led Weaning
• Gentle Discipline
• Anti-Sleep Training

However, this isn’t by any means an exhaustive list, and most people in the group don’t tick all of the boxes, lots of them only one. But if you feel like you are doing things a little bit differently to alot of parents (our lack of naughty step always stands out) and want to talk with some open-minded parents, I suggest you may be interested in having a look.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any cool stuff so I thought I would. If you use youtube, or facebook, or twitter, or the internet, there’s a very good chance that you are one of the 92M people that have watched Walk off the Earth’s Cover of Gotye’s (pronounced  ”Gaultier” apparently) “Someone that I used to know”. Just stunning.

What this did was finally get me to download an album of his, I’ve had a random track for a few years but had never got round to looking for anything else (“Learnalilgivinanlovin”  from Like Drawing Blood if you’re interested – it’s a great song to dance to).

Last week I read to great posts about linking which really dovetail nicely into one another which is why I thought I’d share them together.

The first was non-google link strategy by Eric Ward.  The focus was very much on linking for people and very much on linking without Google. The example he uses is really interesting, and worth considering for your business, easily so if you are local, but even in an online world, non-competitive synergies are there if you go looking.

Starlings by Elbow is massively important to me. I was still big into ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ when the bear was born, and will never forget listening to it whilst rocking her to sleep in the hospital. It has seen become an album I associate with her. It gives me goosebumps even now thinking about that moment.

For about 18 months before stories were on the agenda, I used to sing her to sleep at night. I’d always start with starlings. It used to be magic at calming her, it certainly calms me and I love singing it.

This is one of the first times I tried to destroy with my piss poor ukulele playing
