Really pleased with this drawing. It represents a mother babywearing, walking her child through a field. Not sure you can get all that from a few simple lines, but for me it is incredibly vivid.

This is a drawing that’s actually from last nights streetlight drawing session, depicting someone walking into the sunrise. Really fond of the style I draw in these days, I just need to develop into something a bit more interesting. Any thoughts gratefully received.
A drawing from my sketchbook, this is only a few months old, I stumbled upon it last night while I spent a blissful 45 minutes sat in the garden drawing by streetlight. Such a wonderful way to spend part of an evening.
I’ve decided to simply call this what it is, ‘Babywearer in the City’
First drawing I thought I’d share is one I call Sapling. It’s a sapling child, based on an idea I have drawn various things around since I was 16 and working on an art project. The original concept came from a photo of my -then- baby niece, holding her hands above her head, wanting to be held.
The whole children growing like plants idea isn’t much of a leap when considering infants, however the idea was founded more in how her arms were spread in the picture. It was that which made me think of nature and children. Here’s a version from my sketchbook.
